ACCREDITATION COMMITTEE

 
The ACFICSCU Accrediting Commission Chair appoints all standing committees. These committees are:

Standards Committee

This purpose of this committee is to investigate educational problems unique to education and training fields, to survey the efficiency and effectiveness of instructional methods and procedures and to recommend to the Commission policies, standards and practices to govern the members of the Agency.

Finance, Budget and Audit Committee

The duties of this committee are to study and recommend methods of determining equitable dues and fees as well as how member institutions handle their tuitions policies. Meaning, schools must clearly state their financial policies to student, including refund policies.

Nominating Committee

The Chair of the Commission will appoint a committee charged with nominating officers and replacement members to the Accrediting Commission. Public members of the Commission and the Commission's officers will be elected by the Commission itself and Commissioners from ACFICSCU -accredited institutions will be elected by members of the Agency.


Visiting committee members play a vital role in evaluating a school's past success at assuring student learning, school improvement, and accountability. These individuals also give an important assessment of the school's ability to accomplish future goals.

 ACFICSCU accreditation visiting team:

  • Collaborate and build contacts with a team of experienced school heads, teachers and administrators
  • Help member schools develop and maintain their mission and program
  • Observe exactly how another school operates, gaining insights on how to provide better service to your school and students
  • Encourage and support the highest standards for member schools
  • Recognize how standards are maintained through the accreditation process
  • Utilize your professional skills in a new way as you give back to the educational community
  • Gain a new perspective about your own school and a new appreciation for what you do
